Senior Vice President of Population Health

Carrie Harris-Muller is the Senior Vice President, Chief Population Health Officer at OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio. OhioHealth is a 12 hospital health system with over $5 Billion in revenue. In her role, she leads the overall strategic direction for population health, including continued growth of the clinically integrated network which, is made up of over 3,500 employed and independent physicians, direct-to-consumer strategies, post-acute/ambulatory care, and the joint venture health plan. The health plan currently has over 45,000 lives and continues to develop consumer-driven products. The Employer Services division supports over 5,000 employers and sees over 140,000 covered lives. Prior to joining OhioHealth, Ms. Harris-Muller served as a corporate executive for strategy, provider integration, and health plans for Molina Healthcare, Inc. in Long Beach, California. She also has served as a senior executive with The Detroit Medical Center, Tenet Healthcare Inc., and Kaiser Permanente Hospitals and Health Plans.

She has successfully led health plans, medical groups, and hospitals, and has deep experience in operations; clinical care delivery and redesign; government programs; strategy; human capital; business development; mergers and acquisitions; managed care; and marketing and sales. She led the accountable care division of Tenet Healthcare and was the Chief Administrative Officer for Kaiser Permanente in the mid-Atlantic region.

Ms. Harris-Muller has two master’s degrees and has completed the Executive Leadership Program and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She is a certified Managed Care Executive by the American Association of Health Plans, was named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women in 2008, 2010 and 2011, and has been identified as one of Healthcare’s top female executives. She’s an adjunct lecturer on managed health care and integrated delivery systems in the military at the National Defense University, Department of Defense, in Washington, D.C. She also serves on the boards of United Way of Central Ohio, Ohio Chamber of Commerce, NCHL and Infinx.
